I apologize for the long wait, it was a lot more painful to come back to ending it officially than I originally anticipated, though admittedly completely unfair to everyone waiting on an update. Sometimes I considered "What if I did revive it?? What if I want to come back to it in ten years??" but it would be unfair to all of you to leave things open on the idea that there's a 10% chance of me wanting to revisit this in decades gone.
I don't want to link my new social media here, I don't want to link any new projects or anything like that. If you guys do find them, or have stuck with me elsewhere and heard about them, that's wonderful and I'm so happy to have you on board. I just don't want to make this ending page about something else...
I'll do my best to check in and answer questions if you leave them in the comments, but all of my old social media is gone.
Sorry to hear about your turmoil, but I hope starting over has improved your well-being. Thank you for telling us how it ended, rather than the usual infinite cliffhanger.
I first saw your amazing work on Tumblr when I was around 14.
That was when I was first introduced to this fantastic webcomic when it was only around 12ish pages. I instantly fell in love and pinned it to check for future updates. This actually became part of my morning routine as well as checking the old AOM Tumblr to new illustrations and posts about the world and its characters. The old Q and A with the sketch Responses were so creative and wonderful to see that they will see be some of my favorite art pieces! Seeing the comic and your artistic skill evolve and go under revamp also helped to make my days better. Now that I’m 19 I can safely say, without you, I never would have looked for artists to follow or have anywhere near the level of interest in webcomics as I do now, and it was all thanks to you! Without you, I never would have met such amazing artists and people online as I do now thanks to this butterfly effect. You are definitely up there with some of the more important people in my life for which I am ever grateful.
It is a shame that we will never get to see the ending in comic form, but I know how much soul and effort you put into this comic in the past 5 years. I do wish at some point in the future we could see smaller art pieces of the AOM world as this truly was a unique story and plot you created, who knows, maybe we’ll be able to see more comic pages of AOM?
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we are truly glad that you are doing and feeling tons better! I’m glad to have found those social media accounts and will always be with you every step of the way in the future.
Now that the comic has had the ending published, will the website still stay up so we can go back and re-read the comic?
Will the other sections of the website such as the about section be restored?
Will there be a way to see your older AOM art/illustrations?
You are everything to me. Thank you for being a massive part of my life and helping me become the person I am now today. No matter what happens in the future, I hope you do wonderful with nothing but good luck on your side. I’ll always be by your side!
Well at least with this post I know your ok and alive, I was getting worried that something bad might have happened to you. Anyway I understand why you are leaving this and I am sorry that many people harassed you from behind the scenes.
I hope your are doing ok now especially in this crazy times. Plus I knew Kat was a girl, anyway whatever you do now I hope your happy and safe and if the people who bullied you are at it again just best to ignore them. Good luck and God Bless.
I remember out of boredom I found your work in a /co/ thread and immediately became enthralled by the visual feast of your art.
It's effortless charm and appeal was something my eyes became hooked to. Following your work and seeing your uploads on my twitter feed was always a treat. Whether it was character bios or new chapters, it always managed to leave me with a smile on my face. Your designs and ideas just had pure energy to them that cast whatever idea you were trying to convey so well. Heck, I ended up watching and re-watching the 'voice headcanons' video more times than I thought I would.
As others here have mentioned, it was heartbreaking to see you go but it's understandable and we're all glad to see you in a much better place.
Hearing what you were going through was devastating and even now I'm at a loss for how terrible and venomous it was to be put through all of that.
I sincerely hope this is all laid to rest, the worst is far behind you and the future is looking bright.
You're both an amazing person and artist Kat, thanks for sharing such rich and creative designs and a creative world with us all. It's all so inspiring.
Here's hoping one day I can find some new art from you.
Sorry it had to end this way but from what you posted this was probably for the best. Just know that like the others I'm a fan of your art style and was interested in the story, regardless of how well planned out it was or not.
I do have one question, what race is hennry because he aint human, also make sure to take care of yourself because your personal health is way more valuable than art
